Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is the technique in the field of computing science that allows you to store all your data into some unknown, robust, secure and very large storage globally, instead of your local machine.

Basic Introduction

Cloud computing basic introduction

The term "Cloud" refers to the unknown place where all your data is going to be stored. These data can be accessed from anytime and any place in any machine via internet. These unknown storage places is also called as virtual storage.

Cloud computing also allows to run applications and services on distributed network using virtualized resources via internet. For example, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) provides a simple web services interface that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web.

1. Public Cloud
2. Private Cloud
3. Hybrid Cloud

  1.   Public Cloud

Public Cloud is highly scalable cloud that is available publicly, either free or charge on the basic of pay-as-you-go model. It is highly available and reliable network. In public cloud the user does not know about the whole architecture of service provider (who gives computing machines, storage and other services). Its security depends on the security model that service provider follows.
Examples : Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, operate the infrastructure at their data center and access is generally via the Internet.

   2.   Private Cloud

Private Cloud is operated by single organization for their works and data storage purpose. This is managed and hosted either internally or externally by third party. Its availability is only for the organization who owns it and not for public. It is costly and not very highly scalable as compared to the private clouds. In this case, the user knows the service provider and it is more secure and authenticated than private cloud. This type of cloud is used by its dedicated customers.

  3.   Hybrid Cloud

Hybrid Cloud is a composition of two or more clouds (private, community or public) these are bound together to give the benefits of multiple cloud models. It can also be called as the customized way of cloud service where one can avail private services for the private and sensitive information and also interconnect that application to a business intelligence application provided on a public cloud as a software service. It is also highly scalable and secure with integration option. And just like public clouds it also use pay-as-you-go model.

  Benefits of Cloud Platforms
  • 24 x 7 Support
  • Pay as you use
  • Reliability, Scalability and Sustainability
  • Security
  • Utility Based Tools
  • Device and Location Independency
  • Automated Wokflow

Nowadays, every individual, private companies, communities, organizations etc., are using clouds as they have lot of important crucial data which needs anytime access with security.
Where almost all the social networking sites and applications are generating data day by day, which needs processing.
